Welcome!

Hi, I’m Sundance Metelsky, a certified Jungian coach, dream explorer, and shamanic practitioner dedicated to helping people discover and connect with the wisdom of their soul, their HeartSong. By working with dreams, symbols, synchronicities, art, active imagination, shamanic journey, and other modalities, I guide clients toward a deeper understanding of themselves and their journey through life.

I offer Jungian coaching, dream explorations, shamanic services, and workshops.

I work with individuals who are going through transitions in their lives, who are interested in delving deeper into dreams, who want to explore their experiences at a deeper soulful level, to take a peek behind the curtain.

I offer a FREE 15 minute intake session for all new clients so that we can get a feel for each other and see if we are a good fit. This also lets us explore which service is the best offering at this time.

Jung

I learned about Carl Jung in the 1980s, exploring Jung in college and later with the Jung Society of Washington and the Philadelphia Association of Jungian Analysts (PAJA) Seminar. I completed training to be a certified Jungian coach at Jung Platform and am also certified by the International Association of Coaches, Therapists & Mentors (IACTM). NOTE: I am NOT an analyst or therapist.

Dreams

I am an avid dreamer and have been engaging with my dreams since I was a child. I am a member of a women’s dream circle and have studied various approaches to dream work over the years. I believe dreams bring a kind of medicine to us, a healing from our deepest Self. I work with dreamers to help them seek out and listen for the medicine the dream may be bringing.

Shamanism

I have been walking the shamanic path since 1992 and have studied with numerous shamanic teachers over the years, including Rena Yount, Tom Cowan, Nan Moss, David Corbin, and Elaine Egidio. I am a member of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and Society for Shamanic Practice.

I completed the Foundation for Shamanic Studies’ 3-Year Program of Advanced Initiations and Shamanic Healing with Nan Moss and Elaine Egidio. I also completed a 3-Year Weather Shamanism Apprenticeship program with Nan Moss.

I have over 30 years of experience leading rituals and am an active leader and member of several circles.

Education

I have a BA in English Literature with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Maryland and an MA in Liberal Arts from St. John's College Graduate Institute.

Presenter

I periodically present workshops on various topics, including Dream Drawing, Mandala Creation, Cauldrons of the Soul, Introduction to Shamanic Journey, and more. I have presented at the Washington Friends Conference on Religion and Psychology, Maine Jung Center, WiseWoman Forum, Free Spirit Gathering, and other events. I can present such workshops for your group or organization.

Interests

My interests include dream and art explorations, deep diving in the psyche, shamanic journey, research/study of mythology and folklore, connecting with the Land, spending time in Nature, and circling with community.
